  • Short Articles: 500-800 words with 4–6 images
  • Photo Stories: Intro of at least 150 - 250 words with 6–10 images; each image should have 1–2 caption sentences of around 75-100 words
  • Research Summaries: 1200–2500 words with 4–18 images, charts, or supporting visuals
  • Poetry / Creative Work: Flexible word limit; images encouraged for visual appeal but not very necessary.
  • Children’s Stories: Minimum 500 words with 4–6 images, using simple language and clear storytelling

Images

  • Must be original and high-resolution (minimum 3300px on the longest edge, 300 dpi)
  • Free from watermarks, logos, or borders
  • Each file should be named appropriately (species name or descriptive caption)
  • Proper credit must be provided for any third-party content or references

Tip: Add contextual captions, behind-the-scenes notes, or field observations to enrich your submission and help readers connect with your work.

Videos

  • Must be original and free from watermarks, logos, or borders
  • Can be submitted via secure links (YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive)
  • Each file should be named clearly (species name or descriptive caption)
  • Proper credit must be provided for any third-party content or references

Tip: Share short notes on filming context, challenges, or conservation relevance to give viewers deeper insight into your video.

Originality & Authenticity

  • Only original work will be accepted
  • Plagiarized or fully AI-generated content will be rejected
  • Even if AI tools are used, content should be human-refined and reflect the author’s voice
  • Proper citations are required for references, research, or prior publications

Language & Style

  • Submissions must be in English
  • Maintain a clear, engaging, and reader-friendly style
  • Avoid excessive jargon; explain scientific concepts in simple terms
  • Use subheadings, bullet points, or captions to enhance readability
  • Storytelling is encouraged—capture experiences, emotions, and details that bring the wild to life

How to Submit

Get Your Wilderness Stories Published

  • Subject Line: In the subject line of your email, use the exact title of the article you’re submitting. This helps us quickly identify and process your submission.
  • Grammar Check: Before submitting, review your article for grammatical errors. We appreciate your efforts, but our editorial team will also perform a thorough language and grammar check.
  • Content Arrangement: Organize your photographs and write-up sequentially in a Word document. Make sure the content flows smoothly from start to finish.
  • Photo Attachments: Send your photographs as separate attachments in .jpg format. Ensure the images are 3300 pixels at the longest edge and have a resolution of 300dpi. Include the species name and location as the file name. Attach all images in the same email.
  • Personal Information: In the body of the email, include your full name, designation, company (if applicable), and your location. Share your contact number for easy communication.
