Global Exploring Nature Conservancy Foundation (GENCF) is a registered organization under Section 8. It operates as a top nonprofit wildlife consultancy based in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
GENCF aims to create a strong bond between people and nature. We provide communities with the knowledge and tools they need to practice sustainable conservation. Our mission is to protect essential ecosystems and encourage a peaceful coexistence between humans and wildlife.

Our Journey
Founded with the vision of becoming a global voice for the wild, GENCF has grown into a platform where experts, storytellers, and nature lovers come together. From grassroots initiatives to international collaborations, our work bridges research, creativity, and community action.
The journey of GENC Foundation began in 2014 with Exploring Nature, driven by a passion for wildlife photography. What started as a hobby, combined with road trips and expeditions across India—including the Trans-Himalayan regions and the Northeast—gradually evolved into a purpose-driven endeavor. The founder realized that photography alone could not create lasting impact and sought ways to contribute actively to wildlife conservation.
In 2020, Exploring Nature evolved as an idea, and a YouTube channel was launched to sensitize people about wildlife and conservation, along with the purchase of the domain. By 2021, the idea took formal shape with the birth of Exploring Nature Call of The Wild as a proprietorship company, dedicated solely to conducting wildlife expeditions and educational programs. In 2024, it was officially registered as GENC Foundation, a Section 8 company based in Pune, focused on wildlife consulting, conservation, and awareness initiatives.
In 2022, the Jungle Chimes YouTube expert talk show was launched under the then Exploring Nature channel, sharing wildlife photography stories and insights. By 2025, this channel was officially declared as Jungle Chimes, and it plans to expand into producing short films on wildlife in the near future. Other milestones include the creation of a Facebook forum in 2021 to engage enthusiasts and the launch of Whispering Wilds magazine in 2023, reaching over one lakh readers with conservation stories, research, and adventures.
GENC Foundation continues to aim at becoming India’s leading wildlife conservation platform, combining media, research, and education to inspire action. Its vision includes global outreach through films and documentaries while mentoring young naturalists to ensure wildlife and habitats are protected for generations to come.

GENCF POTY, is an annual photography event that aims to be the leading global platform for celebrating exceptional nature and wildlife photography. This competition seeks to inspire a deeper appreciation for nature and wildlife conservation through engaging visual storytelling.
